La Môme is a collection that’s unmistakably Parisian, instantly calling to mind Édith Piaf and her inimitable cheeky character. The collection has its roots in Paris, as a tribute to the iconic singer-songwriter, performer and actress. It was born in the mind of a young designer from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Arts, who won a Fermob competition to take a fresh look at Bistro – the legendary metal chair that originated in the French capital but has since gone on to conquer the world. La Môme captures the popular side of its illustrious elder sister, but adds a practical touch, with handles integrated into the seat and backrest that allow it to be folded and unfolded in an instant. Its lightweight build makes it easy to move around – in the garden, on the balcony, or even indoors around the kitchen table or in the dining room. And you’ll find it gracing the terraces of your favourite restaurants.
